


MEMBERS
William Pena
William M. Pena is a senior that attends Desert Vista High School. His prefered career would be in Robotics engineering. His hobbies include band (marching band and steel band), building and flying RC planes, and mountain biking. His task in our ROV submarine project is leading the team and assisting in designing the ROV.
Zoë Hyland-Agee
She is the head logistics person for team. She plays the violin and has gone to regionals. Zoë has many community service hours and has helped in many projects. What she wants to major in college is Aerospace Engineering. She is currently in her sophomore year.
"My experience with the ROV sub has been fun. Working on a team with people that have the same goal as you and that completely or mostly understand the objective on hand. I personally enjoyed working on the PowerPoint slides and reports and watching the process this team has gone through to get to a certain point."
Jacob Anderson
When he graduates Jacob wants to become either an aerospace or robotics engineer. He is on the mountain bike team,Vex robotics and programing club and enjoys such hobbies as fixing , racing RC cars, building computers,and playing video games. Jacob is a designer for the team.
"The experiences of this ROV project have been wonderful. Have meet like minded people forge new friendships that are sure to last years. I have learned so much during the design process. I have learned so many things in the last 9 months. It was awesome seeing how my hard work from turning pecice in to a whole."
Mason Lloyd
He is a senior at desert vista, and a first-degree black belt in Wado-Ryu. He also pole vaults for the school track team, and plays percussion in the school band. His hobbies are, he lifts weights, plays guitar and writes his own music. Other hobbies include, gardening and home improvement.
Hans Stratton
He is a senior at Desert Vista High school. He has always been interested in Engineering and robotics but he also has an interest in flying. He pictures his career involving robotics and engineering, and he is also interested in being a commercial pilot, either way he his very passionate about all three. At Subs Anatomy He is one of the designers of the ROV and the operator of the robotic arm for the competition.
"A personal experience I have had with the ROV process so far was helping to design our sub and sort out and plan locations for parts like motors, cameras, and the robotic arm to make the sub more suited for the driver and the competition."
Ashley
Ashley is a senior student at Desert Vista High School. She plans on attending Barrett, ASU, after graduating and pursuing a career in computer science. As a part of the ROV submarine team, she works in the design and coding teams to improve the sub and enable it to complete challenges successfully. In her free time, she enjoys traveling with her family, being involved in service clubs at DV, flying drones, and learning to code.
